使命

本世纪的课题，全球变暖将改变气候的状况

大草原的气候，极端天气，长期干旱，在那些地区，动物们习惯干燥季节，但是极度干燥的季节，年幼的动物不能生存，数量将会频繁减少

森林火灾将变的频繁，燃烧后会使气候变热，飓风会变得更强，击倒森林，更多暴雨。毁灭性的灾难，生态系统。他们导致腐蚀，山体崩溃，河湖沉积

当海面上升，水温升高，珊瑚礁逐渐死亡，太多鱼类会占领这些区域，打破珊瑚礁生态链

但是，你知道全球变暖并不是立即威胁自然资源，戈尔和托尼·布莱尔从自然灾害中拯救世界，世界还没有觉察到最紧急的危机。一半以上的世界自然保护区在20年内将会小时 。没有守林员的有效保护，几乎每一个被保护区将会被侵占，被用做农业或别的用途。

那么问题到底在哪里？像世界银行，联合国和德国、美国、荷兰这样的国家有没有慷慨捐赠？当然。但是他们受到特定政策的限制，这些善款不能资助某些政府雇佣全体人员，所以他们用在研究和基础设施建设上。然而，如果本国政府有充足的野外工作人员，他们的款项会更有帮助。

西方国家在过去的15年里要求发展中国家开辟国土面积的10%作 为自然保护区，实际上他们也做到了！但是在日益增长的费用上，西方国家并没有给以支持，结果导致被荒废的自然保护区遍地都是。气候的变化越来越明显，他们 需要更多的守林员预防森林大火、偷猎、乱砍滥伐等。而且，他们应该与当地居民进行紧密合作，以使人们尊重和感激这些自然资源。这些只能由护林员来完成。

自 然界气候的变化后果是非常严重的。如果我们不立即着手开始保护野生动物最后的家园，在本世纪末，近一半的动植物物种将会濒临灭绝。我们要尽最大的可能阻止 气候的恶化。但是已经存在空气中的我们并不能带走，我们唯一能做的是在世界十分之一的广大陆地上建立自然保护区，高效管理和保护。这只有当每一个自然保护 区都有野外工作人员才可能实现。

AAR 吸引了世界范围的注意，发展中国家面临着最紧急的危机，为守林员筹集资金是解决这些问题的重要举措。也帮助发展中国家政府评估员工的实际需求量和如何达到战略目标:

1. AAR 本身的使命是支持世界环保运动，特别是资助国家公园管理员的工资和费用，为公共大众的谋利

2. 提高大众对发展中国家保护自然资源的兴趣。
